Dear sir

We are using nec ips 2000 system. we were enabled call pick up (direct) for all the extensions and access code we were given is 73 for call pick. Most of the extensions are working properly but some of the extensions (nos. 218 225 259 221 220 ) are unable to pick the call from their extensions. please advise in matworks the programme to be done for this.

thanks in advance

What is the setting for 73 in command 200 and what is the setting for command 1202 for the problem extensions also what is 1202 set to for an extension that works?

Dear sir

Thanks for your immediate reply and giving below the clarifications you have asked for..

setting for 73 in command 200 is A021
setting for command 1202 for the problem extensions is 1010
setting for command 1202 for the extensions that works is 1010

please guide us further

thanks and regards

Those are the only two commands that effect call pickup direct unless they are in different tenants and inter tenant connection is restricted (Cmd 15 is associated with Cmd 1202 but as they are set the same it doesn't come into play). Are the users using the feature correctly?

the other users are using the feature perfectly where as extensions mentined above are unable to use the feature. could you please explain the entire programme to be done so that we can do it and check the feature activation and come back to you..
in command 1202 most of the extensions were given 1010 and very less were given to 1515.

pl guide

To the best of my knowledge there are only about four or five commands that can affect this and the information you have given rules one of them out!

The one you have ruled out is Cmd 15yy (I don't have a manual to hand but I think th full command is 1514). However as you are saying both good and bad extensions ara set to 10s in Cmd 1202, this means that the same Cmd 15yy settings apply to both!

The only other commands that count are Cmd 20y (probably 200 however as this is a tenanted system you should check that both tenants use the same number plan see cmd 29) if all extensions are in the same tenant however, we can rule that out as well.

Finally if they are in different tenants and share the same numbering plan, is tenant to tenant connection allowed (this is where memory fails me, if we have to go down this track I need the book but the test is simple, can a good extension ring a bad one)?
