Hi,

I will like to call MS Outlook from Oracle Form v4.5 & pass some parameters from Form to Outlook. That is :

1. Open Oracle Form v4.5 and by activating certain trigger open MS Outlook application.
2. Pass the relevant parameters to the MS Outlook e.g. sender's name to default to logon ID of person who activates the MS Oulook or open the Oracle Form v4.5.

Please advice.

Thanks.

Regards
Benjamin

Try searching the Oracle 7 and Oracle 8 forums, I'm sure i've seen postings on this using OCI calls or somthing (Might be OLE actually all the TLA's seem the same to me!!)

MikeJones,

Thanks for the advice. What does OCI & TLA's stands for?

Please advice. Thanks.

Regards
Benjamin

Benjamin,

OCI stands for Oracle Call Interface (I'm not sure it's this as I'm fairly convienced OCI is server side only and used by PRO C and PRO Cobol to access Oracle, so it's probably an OLE package)

TLA stands for Three Letter Acronym, the IT Industry seems full of them!!

Regards,

Mike.
