Does anyone have any knowledge of how to confgure a Cisco Call Manager to a Dukane paging system? Trying to get an FX port on a 3845 router to work with a Dukane 2A42 paging system. It worked fine with a paging trunk off of a Nortel PBX but can't seem to get it to work through the Call Manager.

Use an FXO port and connect it into a paging unit (eg. Valcom V-2001). Input the FXO into the line position of the Valcom and the paging position (output) into the Dukane.
That will emulate the paging port of the Nortel.
The Dukane is looking for 600ohms output and the FXO is only providing battery. Simply an incompatibility issue.

The solution above works great.

Thanks whykap. The problem is that the Nortel has been decomissioned and we are trying to connect the Call Manager to the Dukane via an FXO port. So If I understood you correctly we can't connect the Dukane to the FXO because of a compatability issue.

Nevermind the previous post I just re read it and realized you said we need to add a paging unit such as a Valcom into the mix and not use the Nortel. Thanks again whyKap you info has been very helpful.
