Call Manager Groups

We currently have 2 Subscribers with two Device Pools each having a separate Call Manager group

Device Pool 1
CCM Group S1S2

Device Pool 2
CCM Group S2S1

We are going to expand the number of Subscribers to 4. Due to this I'm hoping to create 2 x more Device Pools

Device Pool 1
CCM Group S1S2S3S4

Device Pool 2
CCM Group S2S3S4S1

Device Pool 3
CCM Group S3S4S2S1

Device Pool 4
CCM Group S4S1S2S3


The idea is to apply a different Device Pool within a group of users who work together i.e.. Accounts. If we lose one CCM, power CCM down only, upgrade etc only 25 %of users are effected in a single group

Will this work,? We are running 4.13 which in the Network Settings states up to Call Managers - is this up to 5 Call Managers in a single Call Manager group? I n the back of my mind I'm aware of a figure of 3 ?

Yes it will work but you can only have 3 CCM's in a group.

Thanks but why show up to 5 x Call Managers in the settings options I`m runnign 4.13? Does this not show what Call Manager who are assigned to which is part of the Call Manager Group?I`ve been told that also the TCP alives between the phone and CCM group is only two active

S1 - TCP keep alives
S2 TCP keep alives
S3 not active until S1 stops and then TCP keep alives are active for S3 and the Phone

Can't answer why but at this link for CCM 4.1.3, it still says 3 CCM's in a group. I do know SRST references are assigned in the Device Pool and they add to the next slot on the phone services page. Maybe the 5th slot is for future redundant SRST or ?????
