Call Manager Express in a 2901 Router?

Hi... I'm a Nortel Meridian/Norstar guy, but we're branching out into the Cisco world. I have a couple of small branch offices that we're putting Cisco CME into... the boss says it lives in or on a 2901 router.

Haven't played with Cisco networking stuff since my IT days several years ago, nor have I touched any of their VoIP stuff either. This is a new product for my company so I don't have anyone internal to lean on.

Can someone point me towards a good Cisco CME in a 2901 for Dummies website so I can start getting my feet wet. Not seeing formal training until this winter.

I am not aware of cme for dummies as you put it doc but here is a link to get you started.

the cisco website has everything you need to do this and it is open to all users as far as documentation goes.

If you are expected to install these without ever installing them before and without any training or outside help you better start reading and ask your boss for a lab so you can play with it.

Perfect - exactly what I'm looking for.

I know Cisco's website is open and everything's there... was just a matter of knowing how it's all organized and where to start looking! Some of these websites require training just to navigate them!

Coming from a Mitel world I nearly went nuts searching Cisco's docs for "legacy" telco terms & functionality until I finally realized that Cisco renamed almost everything. Wait until you go looking for NARS & BARS. and figure out how to do PLAR
