Call Manager with no DSP
E1 - 32 Channels
Only 8 Channels available, 9th call fails

Is there a way to make the trunk group hunt only 1-8 until DSP is installed?

if you are using MGCP on the controller interface:
pri-group timeslots 1-8 service mgcp

if you are using h323:
pri-group timeslots 1-8

Not sure if it will work since it is provisioned for a full E1 but try it. You will have to work with your provider to turn it up this way.
