I am trying to set up a dialing plan on Call Manager to replicate our Nortel side in which we are incorporating Cisco VOIP. My question is our Nortel side uses location codes with seven digit dialing. We use an 8 for access to this trunk. So a typical phone call on the Nortel side is 8-883-xxxx. Nortel uses layers for trunks, so how do I set up the dialing the same way on call manager? I am a newbie to Cisco and it is a work in progress.

To make the 8 your access you simple just insert it in your route pattern.. So instead of 9@ replace it with 8@ or
8.[2-9]xxxxxx for local and so on.

Just remember to point it to the correct gateway/route list in the route pattern....
