This is my first post here. I have a technical question. I'm not a phone person but I'm now responsible for the Cisco VOIP system at work. I've had a problem dropped into my lap and I haven't been able to figure it out. On our phone system you have to dial a 9 for an outside line. One of our locations has a security panel that needs to call out periodically during the day or it will set off an alarm. We would like to be able to setup the system to connect to an ATA and dial out without having to dial a 9 first. Any help in how to configure it to work would be appreciated. Thanks!

Build a new partiton called like Alarm_PT, a new CSS called like Alarm_CSS that only contains the Alarm_PT. Then build a new Route Pattern that will allow calls to go out but doesn't require the leading '9' and put it in the Alarm_PT. Then when you build the ATA give it the new Calling Search Space you just created. It will be the only device that can make a call without the leading '9' since it is the only device using the Alarm_CSS/Alarm_PT. All other phones will need to dial as normal.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for!
