Is it possible with Partner ACS 4.0 to log incoming and/or outgoing calls to/from a particular extension? I have a customer who wants to keep track of who an employee is calling and who they are receiving calls from.
 
You can log all calls but it won't tell you who recieved them by station. It sounds like they need SMDR which the system will support.
 
To use SMDR: I need to buy a 355-A adapter for $40 and then connect a PC via a Cat5 cable. Then I need to setup hyperterminal to capture the data stream or I can buy a call accounting program to give me some nice reports. Am I missing anything here? If I decide to buy a program, what do you recommend? I need only the most basic features. I have only 4 partner phones.
 
You can shoot it to Hyper Term.
