BCM 400 question on logging incoming calls. Is there a way to access a call log or something of that nature without having the phone system connected to the network? I need to find out what outside number called a specific line on our system at a specific time. Any help is appreciated.

Call logging would have to be turned on at one of the ringing sets before the call was received. You can look at each of the sets to see if a given set has log space assigned to it. Other factors control whether the call was logged, such as the personal settings for logging. The call detail recording (CDR) records are stored in the BCM and will have the information you need providing the system receives caller ID on the line in question. You need the activity reporter software or a third-party software such as RSI's Shadow CMS to organize them and create reports.

You can turn on CDR and then run reports at will. You would not need the BCM on the network but you would be required to connected a crossover cable to one of the LAN ports on the front to configure, & access the BCM information.
