Call logging problem

Hi All,

I have a BC9 system, with TABS 3.985 call logging + External TOPS Gold Box.
And I experience that long calls (several hours long) recorded with much longer duration than the real value. Analisyng one extension´s call details, it clearly seems.
Interesting, that I don´t experience this in case of calls<1 hour.

Call logging configuration:
-standard form
-1 second measuring
-HMMSS format

Please help, what can be the problem in MD or in TABS?

Hi,

What kind of trunks are you using, I´ve seen it happening a lot in analogue trunks, they keep tied to each other until you disconnect them manualy. But there was another issue concerning a patch in the early versions of BC9, I think it was a faulty correction that made redundant records of the calls, maybe someone else in this forum has more information.

Hi ExtensionManager,

What Application system are you using?, i found there´s a patch correction that could help your case. Look for patch correction 76427 in units CLPS1 and CLPS3. If you don´t have this correction installed and know how to deal with patches and stuff like that i can provide you with the correction. Can you print the result of the next commands?

PCLOP:UNIT=CLPS1;
PCLOP:UNIT=CLPS3;

Hi Extension Manager
I used to run TABS 3.9 but have now upgraded to v7.
V3.9 would only look at a call for about 8 hours then started a new call for it.
What do you use to take your calls into your logging computer?
We use Filecom you should go into the daily file and see how the calls have been recorded in there. TABS is only an aplication running on top of that. Then you would know if it in the MD110, the Gold box, the call logging program, or TABS.

Hi,

It seems that you could use the correction i mentioned before, try asking your service provider for it i experimented the same problem when we run BC9 and it solved those redundant records.

Hi Extension Manager
Check the duration field in smdr and check the field setting in the TABS PDF file. Earlier Ericssons used to export the duration as xx:zz:y
xx = hours zz = mins & y = 1/10 of a minute.
Check and see how it looks.

Hi Hitechbuzz,

duration field´s format hmmss (1 minute resolution), that´s sure. It´s configured in the aspa(parnum=122).And the TABS duration is also this format.

Pcasi,

Problem is not with redundant records. I get one record for one call, but it´s duration is longer then the real value. This happens for the calls which take several hours.
Is it the same what you experienced?

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, the resolution is 1 second!!!

Soaplover,

ARe you sure this helps?
How do I get, which CNI version I have currently?

Thanks

Hi,

With CADAP you see the version and CNI / SP of your MD.

I don't know about your local market, but in Holland Ericsson / Local company covering their service contracts won't support anything below BC9 CNI 185, so if you do have a support contract it's a good idea to get it done anyway incase you need them for something else.

Hi!
pls, confirm, BC9 CNI 185 (or 85)?

Thanks
