Hi,
I'm trying to play with the Call logging output from a SIU card, but I'm in trouble.
I've seen some notes on this forum referring to CLxxx commands, but I can't find them on the (standard ?) manual set; I've also seen someone writing about "Call Information Logging (CLI) output" and "SMDR ASCII output", but I didn't find anything about them.
Can anyone please tell me the title and the code of the manual(s) about the call logging argument in BC9 ?
Asking help from my local Ericsson representative was not successful.
Sorry for my ignorance :-(
Thank you in advance and best regards

Hi Gein,

You must add the SIU to the LIM that contains the SIP (Serial Interface Program) program unit. You can verify the location of the SIP program unit using CNPUP command.

CNPIP:UNIT=SIP;

The SIU equipment position has to be activated and assigned a device name. Then the communication characteristics can be changed if required. A File is then created and associated with the SIU device name.

Initiate SI & Assign Device Name
EDEQI:EQU=2-1-50-00,DEV=SI-0;
EDEQP;

Create File & Assign Device Name with File
EDICC:DEV=SI-0,BAUDR=9600,WORDL=8,STPBIT=1,PARITY=NO;
EDICP:DEV=SI-0;

EDFII:FILE=CIL;
EDDFI:DEV=SI-0, FILE=CIL;
EDFIP;

Define Output Format
CLOHI:FILE=CIL,FORM=2,DMPSIZ=0,[LOGABN=YES];
CLINP;

Call Criteria
CLODI:FILE=CIL[,ORIG=1000&&3999][,DIAL=71&9][,TIME=20];

Activate CIL
CLTGI;

Oops... The manual bit...

If you are using the old O&M Books 1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, 2C and Fault Locating you not going to find CIL in them! You need the Additional Facilities books. I think there was a book for each extra facility so in total about 20 or so more books. The one you need is called Extra Facility - Call Information Logging CIL.

I recommend you ask your supplier for Alex and an 'Alex BC9 library file' this is the reference documentation in PC CD-ROM format.

PS The example programming was for the UK market.
