I have s8700's and using mod messaging for autoattendant. We utilize the call screen feature and before call screeing announces "You have a call from" there is a series of four tones. Anyone know how to get rid of the tones? Seems to be very annoying and distracting to employees..

This is a feature by design.

Those tones are played to identify to the answering party that an MM system is making the call.

When a real person answers, they hear the tones and get connected to the call.

However, if MM answers itself , i.e. the call screen transfers the call to a station and the station covers to MM, then MM would essentially be recording itself. When it hears these tones it knows to drop the call and preserve the resources.

This cant be changed and is used for Call Me, Find Me.

Thanks.

I would tell them that if that is the only thing they have to worry about that they should count their blessings.
