Call Handler --> User Input fails to transfer

I've inherited a Unity Msging V 1.2 (CM 4.x) and I'm having trouble transfering to an extension that has a valid mailbox with an assoicated DID. Instead of transfering the caller when the caller presses "1 for sales and marketing," the phone rings once and then gets bounced back to the company greeting.

The 'edit input' is correctly set to transfer to the correct mailbox. incidentally there is one mailbox where callers are correctly being transferred to, but this DID had already been in place prior. Is there something I'm forgetting to do? Thanks.
