Hello there!
we have set up an extension with the proper COS to allow CFWD OFF NET and when they use the CFWD FAC to send calls to their cell phone, external calls are routed to the cell number correctly, while internal calls just ring open and do not transfer. any idea why this is happening?
thanks so much!

First, you need trunk to trunk transfer set to all or restricted in System-Parameters Features. Is the FAC configured for Busy/DA or All? Also, if CM 5.2 or later, look at page 3 of the station for Enhanced Call Forwarding.

i will check those things out, thanks for the input samorse!

Status of the station shows:
GENERAL STATUS
Type: 6424D+ Service State: in-service/on-hook
Extension: 4315 Download Status: complete
Port: 01B0521 SAC Activated? no
Call Parked? no User Cntrl Restr: none
Ring Cut Off Act? no Group Cntrl Restr: none
Active Coverage Option: 1 CF Destination Ext: 960*******

(i have starred out the CF dest number to protect the innocent)

FAC is set to Busy/DA
No page 3/Enhanced Call Forwarding

System Parameters-Features shows Trunk to Trunk Transfer as "none". what would changing it to "all" or "restricted" do to/for me? Don't want to open up a can of worms on the system here...thanks!

Just a thought for you. I totally restrict remote call forwarding here. I use coverage remote tables instead. This cuts down on the threat of toll fraud. Set this up correctly and it is even easier. I use "n" on the coverage path for sac. Then set the second path up when sac is activated to go to the remote coverage path. The users that leaves for the day and wants their calls hits sac and their calls go to their cell.

thanks Mike! that's a stellar idea, i think we will try that and see if it solves our problem...thanks again to all responders!

Not a problem. Let me know if you need help setting it up.

hey mikeydidit - we set it up like you suggested and are getting the same result, a fast busy when anyone internal tries to call the extension. outside callers are still forwarding to the cell phone like they should, but internal calls do not. on a lark, i changed the DND/SAC/Goto Cover for inside calls to Y and now when you call internally, the calls roll to voice mail. I had another thought and checked the programming on the Coverage Remote table and the ARS ANA. turns out we have it programmed on the coverage table with just 9+ the 10 digit cell number. i had someone onsite test call from their desk phone and that is how they dial it (no 1 between the 9 and cell number) due to the 10 digit dialing in their area. they are able to dial the number without the 1 in there from their desks, so i'm at a total loss as to why the call won't get routed out UNLESS it is the system parameters features that needs to be changed on the Trk to Trk field. i looked at another of our PBXs and it does have "ALL" in that field, so i'm thinking it may be okay to change it. i'll run a test and then post back here what i find...

Can you provide a trace of both a good call and a bad call (list trace station xxx)? Trace the station being called.

Does this station use the same Coverage path as everyone else?

Kevin
