I have a Cisco Call Manager 6.1.2.1000-13 in use with Avaya Modular Messaging (we do not have Unity). We have some field users that forward their DN to their house line (which has no voicemail.) The users would like the call to be pulled back to their office (Avaya) voicemail for retrieval later. Problem is, Call Manager doesn't pull the call back; it just sends it out there to be answered by the far end.
Does anyone know how to pull the call back to voicemail? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Ben

Since it is an offnet transfer it cannot supervise and pull that call back. You can install mobility manager which will do that for you but it uses two trunks per call (in addition to the incoming call).

Easy an simple way would be to call forward the house line back to a voice mail dn or a DID for that user thats not already fwd outside but rather to the inside....

You would need two house lines then. One to receive the call and the other to fwd it back to avaya on no answer. Not to mention a phone system to manage the forwarding.

only one line needed if you have a rna setting placed on the line. Say four to six rings...

You are probably looking at Single Number range or Mobility within CCM

I work for an ILEC and we do this all the time.... So yes it is the provider...

I have it also at my home phone line that's why I asked. It is a viable option, the only issue I see is that all calls, not just business calls, that go unanswered will end up in the AVAYA voice mail box.

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your replies. I was able to route the calls for these users across our tie lines back to the Avaya Communication Manager, and then forward out to the home offices and pull calls back to ModMess. We don't have Mobility Manager so I wasnt able to go that route. Thanks again!
