Call fwd a shared sys acc 1

I have a user with 2 shared sys acc buttons for an adjunct ext. She wants to be able to call fwd the shared ext when she is gone to another phone. She said she selected the shared button & dialed to fwd code and the ext she wanted to fwd it to. The display said Forward to Wireless but when a call came in for the adjunct the wireless never rang. This cust is too far for me to visit to test this. Any suggestions???

Forward the adjunct. Create an authorization code for the adjuct. This will allow you to log into the adjuct or phantom extension from a hard phone.

From there you would enter in the code for forward and the forwarded number. It is a sequence of numbers that you must enter in a timely fashion or it will time out and you will have to re-enter the code.

I did this a few years ago to allow a phantom extension to be forwarded. It was something like:

#(authorization feature code)+authorization code#+#(forward feature code)+forwarded number#
beep-beep

Of course you would have to use the code again to forward it back to the original extension.

I don't quite remember the codes since I have been head deep in IPO for a few years now but I think that forward is 33 and authorization code is 80 but you should look it up and experiment with the dial string.

Oh yeah. If you use this method then you should put a forward button on the adjunct. When the extension is printed you will be able to tell that status of the forward(on off)and the forward number.

CarGoSki is correct. The only way to Call Forward an adjunct/phantom in lieu of the physical is by use of an authorization code. This is explained and covered in the Features manual with all the formats and interactions.

I ended up programming a Pri Cov button on the phone & she will answer it if the person that usually answers the ext is gone- The lesser of 2 evils!!!
