Call from Night Bell to Voicemail

We've got a Merlin Legend R7 and Merlin Messaging R1.0 at one of our facilities.

Auto Attend answers 24 hours a day. The dial 0/timeout for the night attendant points to Calling Group 777. CG 777 has 1 member, x50 (Night Bell). Folks on the production floor or in the offices dial #950 to pick up the night bell.

This has worked great for YEARS, but now a new manager wants unanswered night bell calls to route to the shift-supervisor's mailbox (x254).

I know that a phantom mailbox is just what I need, but I don't think I can justify upgrading the voicemail for just that purpose.

There are several questions (with great answers) come close to addressing my problem on this board, but none that I can just "run with".

Anybody got some ideas that might help me out?

Thanks, that had occurred to me, but...

The night bell will ring when 254 rings, even during the day?

As opposed to using a night service group, I could just make the night-mode auto-attend dial 0/timeout action go to 254?
