Hello I'm curious if anyone is having this problem, I have a BCM 400 4.0 that is not allowing the users to call foward to an outside line.
I have allow redirect checked and the users know to enter a 9 before the number.
Any help would be appreciated.

The extension does not have a target line but has access to the line pools.

Is "9" a pool access code? if so it wont work, you need to create a route with destination code "9" to be able to forward externally.

The route on another system that doesn't seem to have a problem call forwarding is 9A 101 public.
I'm not clear on what specification for call forward would be needed?

u told us ur using line pools. u need to use routes and enable redirect under the dn programming.

The line pool is BlocA, which is in route 101.
The destination code is 9A with 1 digit absorbed
allow redirect is checked on the sets.
BlocA is assigned to all the lines in the PRI.

I'm not clear on what other route I would need to use.

Give it a try, change your destination code to "9" and see if it works.

You may need to make sure the sets are set with intercom as the prime line. Also, some SIP-to-PRI service providers block redirected calls by default as a toll fraud prevention measure. If your PRI is connected to an IAD and everything else looks right, give your provider a call and ask if they're blocking redirected calls.

gberger, I am now confused realing this. I try to forward a user and everytime I forward the user it says a 1 is needed, when I put a 1, it says a 1 is not needed.
thanks

Open the BCM monitor and see what digits are being sent if you change the route to 9 then aborb all.

Change your 9A to just a 9 and set absorbed digits to all.

Works everytime.

I changed it to 9 and absorb 1, and it seems that it is possible with a T7316 because you have a soft key that becomes an OK button to enable it. However when you attempt it with a T7208 it times out.
