Call forwarding to an external number: only hear dialtone

I am having difficulty to forward a phone to an external number. We use “feature 4” 9+7digist number. When we forward the call, we can get connected to the external phone but we cannot hear the voice of external phone. We only hear “dial tone” from the caller phone.

We have BCM 400 Rel 4. The “allow redirect” is checked. Basically, this is a small dispatcher office. We have about 5 phones. I believe it is setup as HUNT Group. Ext. 5000 is appeared in 4 other phones. These other 4 phones also have their own ext. but it is not dial able from outside

We can only use the Feature 4 from the main phone. The allow redirect is checked in 5 phones. In the other phones programming, it states the “Control set = 5000”
The main phone is T7316E and the others phones are T7208.

However, I am able to forward an office user to an external number. This user is not part of that group.

Any idea, Please help
 
I don't believe 1 telephone in a HG can control the whole HG. Maybe have the HG Overflow to a DN and Forward from there.

We want to setup the No answer Call Forwarding so at night when we only have 1 agent, she/he can forward his/her phone (or the main number) to the his/her cell phone when she has to go outside theb building
 
Hunt Groups will not follow any forwarding set on a telephone. What I recommend is to have the main set forwarded to the hunt group. If the user needs to forward the lines to their cell phone (or any other external number), change the forwarding on the main phone to the external number.

We forwarded the main phone to the cell and the cell ring but the caller only hear "dial one" but the call is actually forwarded to the cell.

So is this because of "Hunt Groups will not follow any forwarding set on a telephone"?
