I have 3 cisco 2811's interconnected over a private network.
2 of them include the cisco unity express voice mail module (version 2.2 it appears)
It says CME 3.3 so I assume it is call manager express 3.3
IOS version 12.4
the 3 sites are tied together over sipv2.
Somone else set this up and I have to admit to being green on this so sorry if I am not supplying the details people might need to offer a suggestion on this issue. If somone can suggest another post that might assist me please feel free to let me know, I have done some searching, but I may not know the proper cisco terms to search for.
here is an example of the string used to connect the sites:
dial-peer voice 21 voip
destination-pattern 0001
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:0.0.0.0
codec g711ulaw
no vad
(IP's and phone #'s changed to protect the innocent)
I have no problems when calling a remote extention
I also have no problems connecting to that extentions VM after the proper # of rings
The isssue is when I forward that extention to another valid extention:
It will ring the proper # of times and then I get a bizy signal and "unknown number" will show up on the display
so:
Extention 0001 will forward to extention 0002 which will forward to voicemail 0003
I can call 0002 and it works
I can call 0001 and it will forward to 0002 and the user can answer the call
I can call 0003 and get voice mail
but if I call 0001 and no one answers 0002 it will give me a bizy signal and "unknown number"
if anyone has any thoughts I would appreciate it
thanks
John
