Call Forwarding Outside (Off-net)

I am programming a Vodavi STS Starplus system. I have worker outside the office that need to have an extension on the phone system, but do not need to have a phone in the office. I am trying to find out a way to have the call routed to their external numbers once a customer selects their extension. I tried using the Off-net forwarding, but it works only if I have a phone dedicated to that port/extension. I am looking to have the same thing accomplished thru the voicemail system. When I got the system, I was told it can be programmed that way, but at this point I am fresh out of ideas.

Using an analog station port on your STS KSU, you should be able to make use of Voice-Over-IP technology.

You need an FXO module to plug into your analog station port, then you plug an analog phone into a paired FXS module at their house. Connected through a broadband connection, they'll have system access dialtone - and the extension will ring when you dial that analog port from the office (or from the AA).

Multitech makes some fairly affordable stuff that will do what I'm talking about.

I installed an STS today and found out that Vodavi needs to send new software chips for me to switch out in order for the system to do any outbound calling. You may want to check with them about this. Good luck...

Thanks for the info.
My system already does outbound calling, but only if I have a phone on that extension. I simply need to get the system to call out (forward off-net) once a specific extension is pressed even if there is no phone at that extension.
