Hey fellow subject matter experts.. I find myself struggling with trying to figure out how to call forward an incoming line when there is no answer to an external number. I have an incoming line that is outside of the AA and rings on incoming call route (1)(destination Group 2). Then I have the groups extension (206-209) programmed with a button that has line appearance of that number. I want to be able to call forward this number anytime there is no answer and I deem it impossible! What am I missing here folks?

I can easily just dial *72 or set up a button but I want to do it in office manager and make it permanent. Thanks in advance.

Just put the dummy extn that's forwarded to the external number in the hut group .
If it's sequential then when it reaches this extn it will forward.

Make sure you have inhibit/ transfer unticked both for system and user,
And the user forward for hunt group calls ticked

It will ring the external number only for the ring time-out timer though. Usaually not enough to answer the call.
It is a better solution to create a dummy user which is forwarded unconditional to the external number, then create a second group with the dummy user as the only member, set the ring time-out timer to the max allowed.
Then in the initial (sequential) group set the second group as the overflow group with a overflow timer as required by customer.

All obove will only work if external forwarding is allowed (System>Telephony>Inhibit external transfer disabled) and in case of analog trunks "Trunk to trunk transfer" enabled.
