Want to find out if the following programming will work.

PBX-1 has a 2000 IPS system and my voice mail server is located at this office.

PBX-2 has a 2000 IVS with a CCIS link between both locations(1&2). Internal calls from PBX-1 to PBX-2 are dialed using a tie line 123-XXXX (X= extension number)

I would like to setup extensions from PBX-2 to forward to the voice mail system at PBX-1 office.

Is it possible to program extension at PBX-2 to forward to the VM system at PBX-1?

My only programming option at PBX-2 is by using CAT Mode. If this is programming is possible help will be needed with any programming in CAT Mode.

I don't think there will be a problem (can't be sure as I've never tried it) but you have to remember if you are setting the forward by cat mode then you need to know what is entered in Cmd 200 as the access to the voicemail extn range as say you have 200>3>A129 Where 3XXX is the number of the VM then to set a call forward all to the VM in Cmd E600 you have to have E600>Extn No>3,XXX This is because on this site the 3 is a trunk access code and so it has to be programmed like you would a call forward external. This of course only applies at the remote sites.

Are you saying that you want exts on pabx 2 to have mailboxes on the voicemail at pabx 1 ?

If so you will probably need MCI set up at pabx 1.

Setting the call forward wont be an issue but the voicemail system may not understand where the call came from without MCI.

If i remember rightly you need an AP00 with a cable to the voicemail system's com port for the MCI as I dont think it works internally on the CPU .

What sort of voicemail system is it ?
