We have the acs r7 with a 308 expansion slot.... and i lot of 18d phones and one 34d phone and we have 6 lines. we have our call forwarding where you have to pick the one line you want to forward and dial *72 and then the number you want to forward to. i have one of the programmable buttons without a light setup so you juat have to pick up the line and press the button and it dials all the stuff for you. Now my "administrative Assistance" wants to be even lazier. is it possible to set that button up so it automaticly selects the right line and dials all the stuff

thanks ini advance

also i have an extension that i have all the line ringers turned off and i was wondering if i can set it up so the ringer for certain line turn back on at 5pm like through call coverage or something like that

No, you can't force a speed dial to pick a specific line; it will pick the next available line in the extension's Auto Line Select programming.

You can put the extension in the Night Service group, and a Night Service button on Ext. 10 to toggle the ringing. This will make ALL the lines ring at that extension.

TTT is correct you can not program a speed dial to force a certain line to be picked up. It selects the first available line from the auto line selection in the order you set it up to pick them up in. You could set up an ext., say a break room ext., or seldom used ext. to have only the line you want the speed dial to effect in the auto line selection programming. This would require that if any other line was to be accessed it would require the line button to be pressed. in this case pressing the speed dial button would access the one line, if it was not in use. Thing is you might get people saying the ext. will not make calls out if they do not know to press a line button if the one line is busy. Not a great solution, but for the lazy guy, it would most probably work.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

THANKS GUYS BUT NOW IT SEEMS WITH THE NIGHT SERVICE PROGRAMMING YOU NEED A BUTTON TO TURN IT ON AND OFF AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT RINGS ALL LINES TO THE EXT WHEN ON I ONLY WANT ONE LINE TO RING AT THAT EXT AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAKE IT DO SO AT A CERTAIN TIME WITHOUT HAVING TO PUSH A BUTTON...FOR EXAMPLE I WANT ALL THE EXTS TO RING THE SAME WAY THEY ARE RIGHT NOW BUT AT 5PM I WANT THE EXT IN THE BOSSES OFFICE WHOS PHONE NORMALLY DOESNT RING ON ANY LINES TO RING ON LINE 6 ONLY IMMEDIATLY.... IS THIS POSSIBLE THANKS IN ADVANCE

You need the night button to activate the night mode. You could, given you have voicemail, have voicemail in the night mode answer lines after a specified number of rings per line. If you do not have the voicemail answer line 6, then it could ring the bosses ext through the night service group. Hunt delay for vms is where you set the vm to answer after specified rings, mode 2 is night mode. Play with that and see if you can finds something that works for you.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

thanks for the info guys you all have been a great deal of help with all of this

do you know if it has to be a button with a light or can it be one without the light
