Call forward works sometimes?

Hey guys,
I am forwarding a DID to a external fax line. Seems as though it works sometimes and others it just rings and rings. I have confirmed that it is not ringing the fax line when it is just ringing and ringing.

We dial 8 to get an outside line... I also tried doing it with an acd, does the same thing. Sometimes it works, others times it doesn't we have a CS1000 /Option 61...

Call the 5645916 fax line "twice" - i.e. from two different lines at the same time, and see if on the second call, it is a ring no answer.

If it is, then the problem is with 5645916

Yes that seems to be the case. But that line is a POTS line. So this is a telco issue then being that it bypasses the switch all together?

It means 5645916 has a HUNT number of its own. Telco POTS lines can have any number of features just like your PBX can apply to extensions.

They probably call the feature "Call Forward Busy" at the phone company. Their terms are a little different than those in the PBX.
