Is there a way to have an unused station # call forwarded to a off site number (such as a cell phone)? This way I can set a selector code in the AA go to this station and transfer out to the cell.

I tried it with a phone plugged in and it works but once I unplug the phone it does not work anymore.

Thx

Give remote call forwarding(#322) to the phone you want forwarded (ext 35)and the phone you will forward from (ext 10). In centralized program create personel speed dial (feature 80) for extension you want to forward. From the phone that has rights to forward hit FEATURE 11 35 80.

I beleive that you have to have the phone plugged in at all tmes. On a Partner, the forward turns off once power is lost to the phone.

Not if the forward is turned on at a different extension.

get a cheap single line set and leave it plugged into the last port of the cabinet. This is the only way to call forward to an offsite number. Every time you lose power to that set, you will need to reprogram the cfwd feature again. I learned this from experience.

We all need a little help once in awhile. Tony the Phoneman..

From ANY other extension, you can press Feature 11, the extension number to forward, and the personal speed dial code with the outside number. Keeping a S/L phone plugged in doesn't change anything.

i use a old mls phone that way you can still have it programed to a button , looks better to the customer and gets a piece of junk out of the warehouse. just mount it on the backboard.

You are completely wrong.

Like stated earlier you can forward any extension from any extension. You can also remote call forward any extension from any extension as long as both extensions have permission to do a remote call forward.(#322)

Just remember that all forwards (regular or remote) are tuned off if the system is power cycled or rebooted.

I will try the forwarding from x10 or x11 and see if it works. Using ACS R7 and Messaging R7, you would think this remote call forwarding would be a simpler item to program without having to use up a port in the system. I thought I heard one of the features of the R7 was better remote call forwarding.....Maybe R8 will make up for it....
