I have a customer on a mics 4.? At night they call forward to 11 wich is setup to go to an 800 number. They are telling me that it unforwards itself often. Every time I try it, it works fine. Has anyone had this happen. I made sure they weren't accidentally hitting the cancel key and they claim they are not. This particular phone does not have a vm box so all icoming calls ring forever until it is either answered or they have forwarded it. I hate to use the *72 through the telco because they would have to wait for the other end to answer every night before it would forward, costing them money each time. Any Ideas?

thanks

You don't need to wait on *72, just do it twice before they answer.
When you use the phone system you will have volume loss too.

Not sure why it would stop working...maybe set issue?, try Line Redirection too F*84 I think.

ok, how do i set it up. just curious how is this different than forwarding phone where all ringing lines on phone are forwarded to destination. does line redirect require dest code?
thanks so much

Forward a line - carrier feature - where one line forwards to another - this will not tie up any lines
Line Redirection - phone system feature - where you redirect a line out to another line on the system - this ties up both lines for duration of call and may have some volume loss
External Forward a phone - phone system feature - where all calls to the phone forward back out on one of the system lines to an external # - this ties up both lines for duration of call and may have some volume loss - requires 4.1 software or up.

Disconnect Supervision set to YES for each line
Allow Redirect set to YES for each set needed
Feature 84 to redirect

Line Redirect to external # not allowed in Britain.
