Have a 3300 MXE using 7.1 that has active voicemail boxes but call forward to voicemail is not acting right. If an internal call is no answer/busy the call forwards to voicemail but to you're own voicemail box and not the person you are calling. External calls end up in auto attendent. I started and stopped the vm service in vxworks and as far as i know the COS and Voicemail are correct.

Any suggestions?

to recap...

ext 100 calls ext 101 who does not answer and the calls is fwd to voicemail but its ext 100's voicemail and not ext 101.

555-1234 calls any internal extension and is forwarded back to auto attendent.

each ext can dial the voicemail hunt group number and get their own voicemails.

Do you have numbers in the names of the extensions or trunks

kwbMitel, could you explain this? I do have numbers in names and it doesn't cause any problems.

I checked the voicemail call routing and everything appears to be correct. I can go into my own voicemail and press * i can put in someone elses voicemail box number and leave them a message. but any direct calls do not make it to the callee's mailbox, the voicemail is just forwarded to my own box and asks for my password.

To Slapin,

The system "reads" the display information on the Virtual set for integration. It is possible for the system to misinterpret the integration if the name has digits or special characters in it.

To LB,

Set up a phone with the same COS and COR as your VM ports and make it part of a huntgroup like the VM. Then route a call to it and observe the display digits. You shound see forward from XXX or some such. If not what do you see?

P.S. We are dealing with embedded mail here right?

Yes it's embedded voicemail. The vendor is going to send two new harddrives and we'll just restore a database onto those. Believe it may just had been corrupted when the mirroring of the hard drives went bad.

Do you have COV/ONS/E&M Voice Mail Port = Yes in COS for VM ports. I assume you have a separate COS for VM ports, right?

L.B. Symptoms don't agree with a Hardware issue, you have an integration issue.

I expect you'll be back
