Hi,

I have a problem when I try to set up forward (Follow ME, Busy, Ringing etc).

I have it set to forward to a mobile, when you dial the extension internally it forwards to a mobile. but if you call from outside it does no forward, you dont even hear a ringing, just hangs up.

I've set the COS so it allows "Call Forwarding (External Destination)" = Yes.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Check your COS for public network to public network connection allowed, this should be set to yes.

Hi

Have you got "Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed" in the trunk class of service?

Also the COR of the trunk in Trunk Service Assignment applies when forwarding on a always condition.

Thanks for the replies.

I have set the "Public Network to Public Network Connection Allowed" for both Trunks and Extensions COS's, does not work.

I can transfer external calls to an external number without any problems.

kwbMitel: I'm not sure what you mean, I have tried setting the COR for trunks to 1-63 and it does not work.

Thanks

The COR of the trunk should be set to one that is allowed local calling at a minimum.

You say you tried with COR 1-63? This does not make sense. In the trunk service assignment you can only set individual numbers. Unless you tried each, once at a time, I do not believe you were testing correctly.

If you are unsure which COR will work, try modifying the COR of a station (station service assignment) and try to call the number you are forwarding to. Once the appropriate COR has been determined, assign it to the trunk and try again.

Optionally, try forwarding the set on a No Answer condition. I believe NA fwd is governed by the COR of the station.

Ah I was being stoopid, I actually never understood what COR did. So I restricted most routes. I have now removed all restrictions and it works. I don't need to restrict any numbers on our system.

Thanks

Never heard of NPA before, I'm in the UK btw, I notice that site is aimed at US users.

Thanks
