call forward to attendant console signals dead line ?

Hi all,

Scenario:

Meridian option 11, 2616 phone has CFW set to main reception attendant console (2250).

Call comes in on 2616 number and forwards straight away to reception, operator bounces call back to dialled number as person is at desk, just screening calls thru reception first, line goes dead ?

hunt, eht, efd and fdn all set to go to main reception as well after 4 rings.

Is there a way reception can 'override' the CFW and force the call back to the extension ?

Any ideas much appreciated!

Put a non-marped key on the 2616 with a different DN. Send the calls back to that DN instead of the prime one. Does that sound like a viable alternative to this scenario?

thanks for the info guys...

any idea on why the line gives a 'dead' signal though? have the impression i'm just missing something obvious but would have thought it would be 'busy' signal or something.

FAILSAFE, OTHERWISE IT WOULD GO INTO A LOOP. NOT A GOOD THING!
