Call forward to a external phone #.

I have a customer who is on a Merlin Magix System. He is trying to forward all his calls from his extension to his cell phone or external phone number. His extension is a MLX28D phone. They are also on Centrex lines. There is no button programmed for call forwarding. We have tried dialing the Feature *33 and then 9 and the phone # and then the # symbol. This didn't work.

We tried Feature or #33, 9 and the phone # and then the # symbol. This also didn't work. I also had him put a pause using the hold key after dialing the 9.

These are the instructions that I have from my feature user guide.

Is there something in the administrative programming that I need to setup?

The extension needs permission to transfer off premise.

The feature name is Remote Call Forwarding. You need to enable the extension to have it or else by default they can only forward internally.
