BCM 1000 3.7, Here is what I am trying to accomplish. Phone has one target line and two I/C keys. When they are on their target line they want it to go to vm, sounds simple enough. So I put in "if busy to prime" prime set to vm DN under programming for that T L. Problem I have when I do that it goes to the main greeting I have setup. Is it possible, without doing call forward busy, to make this work??? They want to be able to be on their I/C line and still get a call on their target line. CFB forwards all calls to vm when the phone is in use.

target line is virtual ...meaning it'll try to process as much as call possible - and it is external (no DNIS yet) so AA picks up

Try messaging line on target line - but that'll go to mailbox all the time

try using 1 intercom - MAY work out

"They want to be able to be on their I/C line and still get a call on their target line" - this will work

Let me see if I understand you, if they are talking on there phone and a 2nd call comes in they want to be able to put the 1st on hold and answer the 2nd? and if they don't want to answer it, then it will go to Vmail?

Yes just make it FNA to Vmail after 4 rings.

No, they want the second call to the target line to go to directly to vm if they are on the first one. Or if they have two appearances of the TL, then if both lines are busy they want the third call to go to VM.

You can have as many App's of the Target line as you want.

Let's make sure were talking about the same thing, you can have target lines ring on I/C key's or you can have the target lines Ring AND/OR appear on there own keys. if they just ring they come in on the I/C key, If they appear and ring they have there own key. I believe you still need to program forward if busy. at some of my sites we have 8 R/A keys for the main target line and it FNA to a hunt group, but you could make it go to Vmail.

Still can't get this to work right. I tried assigning my TL as appear and ring and ring only but when both TL's are busy the AA picks up. I have programmed the TL so that if busy to prime, with prime being vm dn. If I assign the prime as my ext number the third calls rings on the I/C key and then to VM. FNA is not a problem, that's works fine, just can't get it forward to vm if both tl's are busy. May not be designed to work like that. Just curious as to why the AA picks up???

make sure you have 2 I/C keys and target line to ring only with 2 apprances. Then on the target line for that set change the prime set to your voicemail DN. Sounds crazy but it works, Alo there must be a mailbox created for that DN.

PS...make sure your capabilities are set to FNA only! not on busy or all. Also make sure in callpilot/AA that target line is not set to pickup by AA.

Already tried it that way. Third call gets " the person you are calling is unavailable, using the dial pad.....

Change the Prime Line on the target line to the SET DN, not VM. Set properties should be FNA to VM DN (choose # of rings). Target line is Ring Only on the set. Ensure target line is not being answered by AA.

Result: User in on I/C 1 and and a call comes in on Target line...call rings on I/C 2 for X rings. If no answer, it goes to user's VM.

Is that what you are hoping to accomplish?

No, I want if they are on both target lines that the third call goes to vm.

No, I want if they are on both target lines that the third call goes to vm"

Assuming you have the target lines set to Ring and Appear on the set, follow my instructions above and that's what you will get.

MagnaRGP, we ran into this some time ago and I tested it and found that if you have only 2 intercoms and you receive 2 calls the 3rd will just ring. My setup was just as you recommended.

I must be missing something. I have my set for FNA, 4 rings to vm. I have my target lines to appear and ring ( I also tried ring only). I have my target line set up if busy to prime, prime being my ext number (also tried VM dn). It will roll over to my extension and ring 4 times and then goes to vm but they want it to go straight to vm if both target lines are busy. I guess they will have to live with it ringing their phone before going to VM.

Texan:

You can't have it both ways....either it rings the phone (FNA active forward busy off) OR it goes straight to voicemail (forward busy ON, FNA irrelevant).

DigitelD:

Makes sense...2 R/A target lines ring leaving 2 paths for the call, the i/c keys.

Thanks, I have to get the pbx mentality out of my head. Keep thinking of LHK and hunt. Thanks for all the ideas....

This does work have set this up many times when both target apperances busy to prime set ( voicemail DN ) if you have a mailbox created and is initialized this will work make sure your settings are correct. You should not have AA picking up this line.

Thanks 56BelAir, but I still can't get it to work. Maybe it's the 3.7 software. I have tried it every which way. I have it set up in my office so I can try to make it work before cut over. Just to make sure, I checked and my TL is not set to be answered by AA. I give up.....
