Hello Ladies and Gents,
Customer has a bcm50, not sure what release.
They would like to be able to call forward calls via individual extensions.
Analog Trunks...
Call comes in, CP100 picks up call and routes call to ext 222, this client would like the option to call forward all calls destined for his extension to his cell phone lets say.
I'm pretty sure it can be done, by allowing redirect under terminals and sets/capbilities...and then having client do feature 4 from extension...but I was wondering if there is a step I'm missing, like having lines in a pool...or does there need programming under routes....(im a little unclear on the procedure to properly allow for this to flow correctly)
Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, you cannot use Pools, you need a Dest. Code and a Route.

ok..thanks,,,I rarely set up dest codes and routes...I'll go back in my notes to see if I noted anything.....
Thanks>>>>>

Does this in anyway behave like outbound trnsfer feature? With Link Transfer option from the CO Line?
Ive setup outbound xfer on vmail to go to peoples cell phones and it doesn't tie up CO Lines..

I'm wondering how many co lines this cfwd option ties up while the call is engaged.
Thanks!

It depends how you explain it to your customer.Usually they prefer to use "Outbound transfer" so that the caller have the choice to leave a message or be transfer to the cell phone. At that point if you put the # sign in front of the cell phone number,it will do that "Link transfer" on the CO and therefore will not use any lines.
There's still a maximum of simultaneous transfer you can do and that depends on your CO provider.
