A phone is set to forward to an external number on no answer after 4 rings.

can anyone tell me how to reduce this to fewer rings?

Thanks

Found it thanks. Was set to 15 seconds, have now changed it to 5

You may want to make sure this phone has a different COS than all your other sets or all of them will CFNA after 5 seconds.

Thanks for the reply. I used a different COS. This is a new system, moved from an old option 11 meridian, so I am not too sure about what to do yet, but this exercise has forced me to learn alot of useful stuff.

You will find all too often that the COS timer of the trunk is engaged instead of the COS timer of the dialed extension.

Make sure you test Trunk calls AND internal calls beforing signing off on your config.
