I have a question that I hope one of you can answer. We are using CM 7.1.3 but we still have a few sites that are on an Avaya platform. Here is what I'm trying to do.

User has a Cisco phone but has now moved over to a building that the recpt. has an Avaya "I know why not give her a Cisco phone, well she answers calls for other Avaya users and he doesn't want to change his number" He wants to be able to have his calls cover to her and if she doesn't answer cover back to EUM. I am able to get the call to cover to her, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the call back. Anyone ever tried this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

who has what phone, please explain a bit better.

do you have a unique dialplan for all sites; can you call each phone internally? (avaya-avaya and avaya-cisco)

You could build a 2nd line on the Avaya phone. Have the Cisco phone ring the second extension on the avaya phone. Have a cover path setup on the 2nd line of the Avaya phone with a cover answer group setup to send the call back to the Cisco number.

CISCO
CFNA --> Avaya line 2 --> CSS will need to be outbound

AVAYA
Cover path
Cover answer group
Cover path --> Point 1: Coverage answer group

Do the day and let the day do you.
