We have a BCM450 on Release 5. A user has forwarded her extension to her cell phone and after canceling the forward, it still rings to her cell phone.

Some things we've tried to knock it loose:

1. Unplug and plug back in her telephone
2. Remove the target line from her phone
3. Removed the received number from the target line
4. Have her activate forward to another extension

In all instances above, calling the number rang her cell.

Anybody have any other ideas short of rebooting?

Not yet but probably going to schedule it. Just looking for any other ideas before we HAVE to reboot it. Thank you both!

I can't see what else you can do other than to do as suggested and reboot it. If you have any patch updates that need to be done on the BCM, then now is the time to do it if it requires a reboot.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Is the call comming in on a PRI? If so I've had customers in the past use Line Redirect instead of Call Forward to go to a cell phone. Then later forget and when they forwared their phone to let's say someone else's extension to cover for them all calls would go to that extension execpt for the Target Line number and they could not figure out why.

I launched BCM Monitor and when I place test calls, I never see it hit the PRI. Somehow it must have gotten forwarded by some other method or tghe carrier. I've opened a ticket with the carrier to help me isolate. I'll update once we figure it out.

Did you check the line redirection feature as asked by hawks.

Does the phone give 1 short blip as the call hits the phone.
If so the line redirection is on.

Disable it by Pressing feature # 84
Select all lines

Sorry didn't see the bit about not reaching the switch.

Agree check with your service provider for call forwarding

You are not clear on 1. method of forwarding used by the client, 2. is it only the DID or also internal calls to her DN forwding?

BCM Monitor proved the call was never hitting the PRI. This morning EarthLink saw the number forwarded in their system and removed it. The DID now works properly.

Curly, still don't know the method of how it got forwarded. I guess someone placed an order with EL and forgot. Anyhow, it's all good now.
