Call forward does not work the user gets a busy signal

Set up the phone using Feature 4 to call forward all calls coming to the phone to an external long distance number. Set Allow redirect to Y. I also set forward on no answer to the external phone number as well as forward on busy to the external phone number.

When I dial that extension from another phone or we transfer a call to that extension the user will get the busy signal. If I enter in the phone number without the 1 to indicate that it is long distance, than if I call that extension it will say that the number is long distance and must dial 1 or 0 .

Any help would be appreciated.

the call forward works if I set it to forward to a local number . It gets the busy signal only when the phone is forwarded to a long distance number. this all worked fine until the sales guy done something on the phone and now its not working.

You might want to make sure he did not turn on some sort of restriction for that phone. Can you dial the number from the phone itself?

yes I can dial that long distance number from the phone and it works fine

How is your Desti code set up?

i am not sure how is the Desti code setup. how can i check that ?

the other thing is that I tried another long distance number and the forward worked fine. The long distance number that I need to forward to is a magic jack number maybe that is the issue.
