So we have our main number that points to our two attendant phones. Basically our main number is a VDN hat goes to a vector that points to '0'. And '0' in the dialplan points at attendant. Every now and then the attendant steps away or has to be away from her desk for some reason or another. They would like the attendant phone to be able to cover to other phones / hunt groups in the organization. However I do not see a way to call forward this attendant or even provide a coverage path.

Any ideas?

Not staffed. They are looking for to cover out to another part of the organization that doesn't involve another attendant console.

she could put the console into night service but do not know how you have that configured

The night service goes to a voicemail box as I have called it after hours. But I am not sure where the night service is located or how to view / change it. Do you know by chance? Attendant is below. I don't see a night service destination on any of the pages.

1st start by looking at your trunks for night service on page 1, also on newer releases disp tenant 1 this also will have a nite service defined

I checked those before, no night service on the three trunks listed. No tenant partitioning and the command doesn't work. Where else, you think? The mystery deepens.....

Have you got a "listed-directory-numbers" set up ? This can route the call based on night-service mode.
You can then forward calls to a vector (via vdn ext nr) where you check the time of day, and depending on the time send it to out-of-hours mailbox,
or a hunt group that covers for the attendant.

I do have listed-directory numbers and it has a Night Destination on top of the form but no numbers filled in. How do LDN's work? I'll google it but any tips would be welcome. This sounds like exactly what we need. So when the night service button is pushed we can forward to a VDN / vector that provides coverage? That sounds perfect!
