Hi!

I'm having issues with the NEAX2000IPS, we're programming a call forward and hunting feature but based on our observation, it only works when the incoming call is from an external call, all internal calls have no effect on these features, we used the CMD180.

Do we have to restart the system or missed a program module?

Thanks very much!

Call Fwd and station hunt groups are two very different features. Exactly what do you want to do?
No reboot is required for either feature.

Thanks for the reply!

Basically, a departments wants a hunting feature so calls transfers at a certain timer or ring, on the other hand, call forward for other phones not answered on a certain timer or ring.

As mentioned, the features work on external callers, not on internal.

Any other programming we need to check?

To set up a linear hunt group, use CMD 180, list the extensions first to second, second to third, etc. do not set third back to first. That would be a circular hunt. In CMD 181, all extensions are members at default. Assign the pilot extension here. Call the pilot extension at least 2 times to activate the group.
Another option is to use virtual extensions to create a group. CMD 11, build several extensions. Use call forward busy/NA first to second, second to third, etc. The last can go to a VM with the lead number matching a VM box so callers can leave messages. Transfer all calls to the first virtual extension. Place all of the VE's on buttons of those phones that need them.

Hi Belevedere,

Thanks for the info, it helped a lot! :D

I have another issue, our E1/R2 is giving intermittent outgoing calls, incoming is no problem as it is consistent.

With the outgoing call, attempts could range from 2 to 5 or sometimes one try. In other report, just by dialing the digits, a busy tone is heard before finishing the number.

We've contacted the central office and as per technical's call trace, they are not receiving our data.

I've attached a call log for reference. What's bizarre is, we can make outgoing calls, but not in a consistent manner. No parameter changes were made to the E1/R2 on the NEAX2000IPS.

Thanks again!

Hi!

We have a NEAX2000IPS, we programmed a hunting series but when we tested it, it either takes 25 rings before transferring or it just goes busy.

The timer was set to 03 but does not take effect, the system uses PRI/ISDN.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Ok so it sounds as though you have something seriously wrong as hunting after 25 rings is ridiculously excessive! There are only two possibilities, you have got the hunting group set up wrong or the basic information you are working with is wrong!

Please document your set up so we can understand what you are doing!

Note: the type of line you have is not really an issue, however how you are analysing and treating the indial number, is!
