Hi, I've setup auto attendant which seems to work fine but if any of the destination extensions activate call forwarding to an external number the system just loops back into the menu.

I'm sure you should be able to still activate callforwarding on an AA phone.

Is this right?

Thanks

I'd be willing to bet the COR of the AA/VM ports aren't allowed access to external numbers. Can't really tell from the lack of details on that, but it's a start. What PBX and VM platform?

The voicemail ports also require Public Network to Public Network and Conferencing enabled in their COS

When testing, setup a display phone with the same COR and COS as the voicemail. Simulate the call and observe the display. This will usually tell you what is wrong. Toll deny for e.g.

hi,
I'm using a 3300 with embedded voicemail and setting up the auto attendant - how can I have a caller skip the AA and go straight to the operator ? I've been left to believe that if the caller does nothing then it goes straight to the operator anyway but how can this be forced ?

any ideas ?

Thanks
