Dear Frends

can some one plz help me,
i want to know if theres some way to call another form
to leave the calling form also open on the back.
e.g i have a master-detail block and the detailed block
is further a master block of another detail block. and
i want this detailed block to b shown in some other form
keeping the calling form on the back.

thanks

When you use CALL_FORM the calling form remains on the background if you pass DISPLAY=>NO_HIDE parameter (read the full syntax in online manuals).
But if you need your child form to be refreshed accordingly I'd suggest you to place both blocks on the same form (probably different canvases).

Regards, Dima

Hi Dima
thanks for ur reply.

but won't the detailed form b refreshed if i pass the master as parameter in the call.

i want to keep from putting this block too into the same form because i already have four blocks on that form.

thanks

It might be needed to call once-for-all at the time of data entry only.

but now i think, as u said it's expensive, i'll consider using the same form only.

thanks.

Four blocks is not that much. I have several forms with 10-15 blocks. They function just fine.
