Hi,

Call fails when user calls from missed call log to international destination. When user dials manually it works.

list ars route 0094162934914 for location 60 shows it takes route pattern 407

Dialed Total Route Call Node
String Min Max Pattern Type Number Location

009 7 18 407 pubu 60

but list trace for this station shows it taking route pattern 403 !!!

16:06:06 route-pattern 403 preference 1 cid 0x209a
16:06:06 seize trunk-group 401 member 15 cid 0x209a
16:06:06 Setup digits 4162934914
16:06:06 Calling Number & Name 71265795445 Wolfgang, Daniel
16:06:07 dial 94162934914 route:ARS----------.............not inserting 00
16:06:07 route-pattern 403 preference 1 cid 0x209a
16:06:07 seize trunk-group 401 member 15 cid 0x209a
16:06:07 Proceed trunk-group 401 member 15 cid 0x209a

Also notice that system not inserting "00" after 9 which is international code.

Is that the problem or call using wrong route pattern? pls advise what needs to be changed.

thnks...

if you have a 96XX IP Phone, there are settings in the "46xxsettings.txt" file for this:

SET PHNDPLENGTH 4
SET PHNLDLENGTH 10
SET PHNOL 9
SET PHNLD 1
SET PHNIC 011 <- this is the setting for what to prefix internationals calls with
SET PHNCC 1

This is a US example, if you are overseas, it would be a little different.

Thanks Mitch,

it is 4610 phone not 9600 series......

I checked settings file PHNIC is set to 00 and thats correct
as phone is in germany.

## For the United States, the value is 011.
SET PHNIC 00

any clue?

are you sure that the file is being read? it could either be a TFTP server, or an HTTP server, if the 46XX firmware is over R2.8 I believe.

It's amazing how many times people will "swear" the TFTP server was running, only to find out it was dead or not working when the phones where last booted.

I would check the log files, and reboot the phone to make sure it is getting the file, you may find it it not being downloaded...

Best way to check is to reboot the phone?

and do you rule out route pattern problem.

thnks...

yes, reboot the phone, and check either the TFTP server log, or the HTTP server log, depending on what you are using (check your DHCP Option #176 to see what type and the IP of the server being used)

it is not your route pattern, you are not inserting the "00" in the LD dial string.

ok..will check,

BTW in settings file i see

## For example, 800-555-1111 has a length of 10.
SET PHNLDLENGTH 10

assuming should be more than 10...

if required how do i update settings file ?

thnks again.

Hi,

I found this under trunk parameters,

Digit Handling (in/out): overlap/overlap
Digit Treatment: insertion Digits: 9*

whereas it is set as enbloc/enbloc on other trunks where users have no problem.

is this could be reason why switch not inserting "00" and

just inserting 9 when user trying to call international nuumbers?
