call dropping in PP 7440

Hi all

I am facing a very strange problem with a setup including 7440 PP, ITI mux and siemens PBX,
Setup is like this

Siemens PBX--PP 7440---IPLC----PP 7440--ITI MUX---Siemns PBX

Now the prob is all the call drops after sometime (time is not fixed).but if we by pass the PP 7440 at both hte end calls soes not drop.the set up being

Siemens PBX-----IPLC----ITI MUX---Siemns PBX.

Now when PP are in circuit vs in PP doesnot fluctutate.
can anyone suggest what the problem can be.
