Is extention 2041 a valid extention# or group#. If not - the default for ALL invalid extention or DID numbers is to transfer the call to the operator - since the system has no idea what to do with the call.

Three things:

1) Does 2041 actually exist as a station (or adjunct)? If so, do a printout and see if it's being call-forwarded to 500.

Another clue as to what's happening is to note what the operator console displays when calls to that number are made. Please post that information.

2) You don't show the entire Dial Plan Routing table. Is the service chosen for entry #6 set for "Any Service"?

3) DIDs are often provisioned in banks of 20. Is there any chance that 2041 (the only number in the third bank of 20) is an add-on to your original DID order? In other words, what are the chances that "041" is being sent instead of "2041" because of a provisioning error?

Tom to respond to you I have created 2041 as an AA extention and pointed it to AA #3. Also I tried using real extentions, 591, 524 and a couple others without any results. Natraly I adjusted the delete and add digits for the extentions.

Dagwood, 2041 is not a station i created an auto att extention for it so i can't see it being call forwared. I haven't double checked that it is any service but i did think of that after i made this post and played around with the system a bit. I will do a full printout. As far as my did's I only have 10, 3 of which are 8xx numbers, and all my other dids are routed based on 4 digits. I was thinking about calling my carrier to see what they are sending. I tried to check it via hyperterm through the smdr port but the inbound ani doesn't print out on that.

When the call comes the the operator the screen prints something like "DID ? >" I forget exsacly what comes up.

If you made it an AA ext. did you also make an adjunct? The phone system cares not, what extensions are made in voicemail. It needs to see the extension.

2041 is created in voicemail but is it in the dialing plan of your switch? What happens if you dial sa 2041 (intercom 2041) from a system phone? To be in your dialing plan you have to use an extension port,a adjunct, or a call group with 2041 as the extension number.

Also if they are sending 2041 why are you stripping 4 digits and adding 2041?

I have been playing around with it trying any posability just to get it to work, that just happend to be the one I posted origanly i didn't have it like that.

I don't think I have an adjunct, how do I create that? Where in the SPM can i do that?

Each MLX telephone and Magix 4400 series telephone has two extention numbers. One is the regular extention number, the 2nd is the adjunct extention number. So, for example, if you used "setup space" to create your extention numbering - the adjunct extentions would start with 7300. So if the operator phone's extention is 500 - her adjunct extention would be 7300. Extention 501's adjunct would be 7301, etc. So - if you renumber 7301 to 2041 - then your system should work correctly.
