Call cuts on Console

Hi,
We have an issue with our attendant console SN-716.
When the direct line to the receptionist is rung, after a few rings (and it seems) the receptionist has lifted the handset the line cuts. After calling the receptionist several times she has confirmed that there is no ringing tone whatsoever. I suspect there is a switching issue? One more thing. We are unable to make outbound calls. I have checked and there are dial tones on the MDF for our trunk lines. From the MDF I am able to call any extension but when I dial the switch number the call does not get thru, gets cut-off.I did a reset yesterday in case of pabx locking-up but the problem persists. I am stumped. Should I call in the contractor or is it from the telco's end?What else can I do? We us IPS2000. Your expert advise would be greatly appreciated.

It may seem to be but sometimes with a power outage the system can come back showing the wrong mode! Try cycling it a couple of times!
 

I just checked with our Telco's Faults office and was informed that their techs have put it on hold. I do not know for whatever reason they would do that, but my boss is not too happy with that. Will know for sure soon!
