If I have AA answer the calls and the caller has selector code options. If I program #306, transfer return extension to be customer service, what will happen when caller selects a selector code and no one answers at the selector code extension? Will it go to transfer return extension? Does the selector code extension need a voice mail or should it be deleted if it has one? Will this work the same as Feature 20? I want all calls to go to customer service, which is not extension 10, if the selector code extension does not answer.

thanks

If you program #306 for the Voicemail Ports, as Ext. 10, and a call is transferred from the auto attendant (selector code or direct extension dial) to an extension without a mailbox, and without Auto VMS Coverage turned on, the call will first ring the transferred extension, and then go to the Transfer Return Extension.

I attempted to change #306 to 14 for the selector code extensions. This seemed to have to no effect. I reset the selector codes, did feature 20 xx 14 on the phones, backed up the system manually, and all worked well. I have a voice mail card small. I made certain selectable extensions had no voicemail box. I powered the system down. On power up the light for feature 20 was out. I expected that to happen. I restored the program. Light was still out and selector codes did not work. Extension not available was the message. The only positive was the button stayed programmed and only had to be pushed to activate. I guest I could move extension 10 to customer service. I believe that would negate the need for feature 20, but the selector codes would still disappear. I read one post that said voicemail card could be bad....Is this a truism or guess?

tks

Your voicemail ports are 78 and 79. These are the ones that you set #306-78-10 and #306-79-10.

Remove Auto VMS Coverage with #310-xx-2 for the extension that you want to transfer TO, but don't want voicemail to answer for.

Remove the mailbox in the voicemail by assigning to an unused extension number. Remember the mailbox numbers are not the extension numbers

Customer called back...power glitch caused selector code settings to disappear. Do you think replacing the Voice Mail PC card will help? Any ideas?

tks

If a power glitch erased the selector codes, you need to do a complete factory default on the VM card, and then reprogram it from scratch.
