Call control while away from handset

So we've got someone who likes to get up and walk away from the handset at their desk while still keeping the headset on. They can answer a call using just the headset but now they want to be able to put a call on hold while walking around. One-X is not an option as they use Equinox, and Equinox does not control calls on the actual handset.

What we're looking for essentially is Softconsole but on a mobile device, has anyone set anything like this up before?

With 11.0.2 you can actually control the handset but not sure how to do that while walking around
There are some headsets who can do on hold actually.
I beleave Jabra is one of them.

I would use Preferred mobility on Android or iPhone. you can answer the deskphone, and if you need to transfer it, use the mobility client for call control to transfer....

Thanks for your suggestions, in the end we just said that no, this is not do-able without getting a new headset with extra buttons. They can't use One-X and Equinox always registers as an additional user, so no direct control over the actual handset (9608) that the call comes to.

Not the end of the world that the Receptionist needs to be at Reception to take calls, she just liked wandering away from the desk it seems.
