Call Apearance

On a Option 11, how do you set up a Call Apearance? So when a extension rings it also rings another extension which would allow them to pick up the call if the other person is out or just let it go to voicmail if either person is not there.

program a a key with SCN (no ring) or SCR (ring).

Example:

key 5 scr 4111

or

key 5 scn 4111

would MARP be irrelevant in this case? if x4111 is programmed as an appearance on some other set and that second set goes to v/m will x4111 go to its own mailbox or the mailbox of the set on which it's an appearance if it's accidentally MARPED to the second set? just curious...

MARPing causes the DN to follow how the TN is programmed. If the TN is HUNT or FDN to phone mail the call will go to voice mail, but if 4111 is a mail box it will go to mail box 4111. If 4111 does not have a mail box it will still go to voice mail but you will get a message that it does not subscribe. You should MARP the number to the primary TN of the phone, unless you need it to operate different.
