If I call a subscriber and it covers to their VM and I leave a long winded message and I want to cancel it.. how do I do that?? *3 did not work,, hanging up did not either. In both cases the message was sent.

anything on this one.. really need to know.

*3 does not say it will cancel the message but that you can cancel what you have and then send a new message. It will still send something. What software level are you at ?

I'm at 5.1 and there's nothing in any of the options that offer to cancel the msg you are leaving. I find that surprising that it doesn't allow it. If you login to a mailbox and do a record and send you can *3 that, but caLling into someone, getting their greeting and trying to cancel the msg after you start speaking doesn't behave the same

You are correct. But why would you want to give a outside caller that same options as a user?

If someone calls that does not work for the company and is leaving a message the assumption is that you want them to hear it. If you hit * and then 3 it does let you rerecord the message if you are rambling on about something and you want to get rid of it.
